gi is a musician from Gadi (Sydney.) Her sound blurs the outer limits of drone, idm and techno, interested in how generative sound design and asynchronous repetition can coalesce to create emotional music. Following self-released sketches in 2022, and contributions to compilations by Comic Sans Records (FR), Pure Space (AUS), Twin System (UK), Companion (AUS) she released her debut EP on Altered States Tapes in October 2023 and follow-up liveset EP on Beyond the Bridge (Seoul) in March 2024. In 2024 gi presented her debut album on Absorb (AUS) and launched the World of Knots label, while continuing to refine her unique style of warehouse oriented experimentalism, across live and DJ sets.
