Forest Drive West, Felix K and DB1 are LEVL. Together, they explore the murky territory between drum & bass, techno and experimental electronics, crafting a distinctive sound that defies the boundaries of genre. The trio's collaboration began with DB1 and Forest Drive West putting out music through Berlin-based Felix K’s label Hidden Hawaii, which led to the formation of LEVL: a combination of each artist’s unique production approach that creates a cohesive and innovative sound. LEVL's debut release, “LEVL#1”, was issued in 2019 on Arcola, a sub-label of Warp Records, a bass- and breaks-heavy record showcasing their ability to blend ambient textures with complex rhythms. “LEVL#2”, on Felix K's Nullpunkt label, further explores the intersection of ambient, drum & bass and techno. Beyond their recorded output, LEVL brings a strong energy to live performances, delivering an immersive and genre-bending musical experience. With meticulous attention to detail, the group pushes the boundaries of electronic music through soundscapes that challenge and captivate listeners.
